WAR OF THE DRAGONS
Finally, Nazu felt that his time had come.
Distracted by stresses and concerns of the current day, the people of Elcriss had lost sight of many things that were important in the world, mainly empathy and acceptance of others, and reverence for the Children of AOZ.
The gates of the Void were again flung wide, but out of the nothingness this time came not only the rampaging hordes of crazed Daemons, but also well-organized, highly trained legions of terrifying Xeron. These people were of every description possible, ranging from those that looked as though they could belong to any one of the races of Elcriss, to monstrous humanoids with horrifying features and incredible abilities. They marched from the Under-realms with terrifying speed and unending endurance, and came upon a world once prepared, but now disorganized, and ripe for conquest by The Chaos Lord, The Scorned God, The Deceiver– Nazu, Harvester of Souls.
The terrible legions swarmed forth from the gates of the Void, destroying and killing and burning their way through the once-beautiful realms of Elcriss. Any resistance they met was trampled. Once again the Children and the Dragons came to the defense of the people and the realms, and as the Dragons fought the terrible hordes, the Children did their best to help the people organize against the onrushing storm of destruction.
As soon as the armies of the Chaos Lord began to slow, Nazu flung wide the largest of the hidden gates of the Void, and the Dragons of Chaos came screaming out of the jaws of hell!
It was too much. These nightmares were much stronger than any of the Dragons that lived in the realms of Elcriss, as the powers that created them made them more terrible than even Nazu had imagined they would become. The horrors devoured scores of people, devastated whole regions and killed many courageous Dragons that met them in mortal combat to try to save the realms from annihilation. Added to this, the legions of the Deceiver kept marching on, conquering the routed armies of the people of Elcriss, who cried out once again to the Children to help them in their time of dire peril.
The Children became desperate. They could see that their brother was going to wipe out everything they had worked so hard to create. Though they had already been somewhat diminished by their sacrifices that brought Magick to the people in ages long ago, the Children still had considerable powers remaining in their immortal bodies. To enter physically into the realms and fight, the Children needed avatars to house their powerful spirits. They knew that entering them would be at a terrible cost to themselves, and even in victory the world would never be the same. But there was little other option available to them, and with the short amount of time remaining they refused to watch and do nothing as the world was destroyed.
So, the decision was made. The Children entered the realms and summoned many powerful Dragons to themselves. As the Creator had done in the past, the Children of AOZ divided, and their powerful spirits entered the bodies and minds of the Dragons, and became one with the mighty creatures. These Dragons underwent stunning transformations, becoming colossal, inconceivably beautiful and powerful creatures.
The glorious Dragons of Harmony were born.
