The Dragons of Harmony that housed the spirits of the Children of AOZ did their best to aid the people immediately following the end of the War, but many of them too were terribly wounded and needed to rest in order to recover from their trials. A few had even died, and parts of the gods and goddesses themselves had joined into the fabric of Infinity and gone to be with the Creator.

What the Children had done, though necessary, had left them forever changed.

The Dragons of Harmony were wise, beneficent and intelligent beyond the comprehension of most other beings in the world, but they were not the Children made whole in and of themselves. They were but parts of parts of a whole, and as such the entities that had sacrificed all to bring life to them now were observers through the eyes of the Dragons that had not the power to see all or know all.

Most of the Dragons of Harmony flew to the Realms of the Heavens to rest and to dwell, where the Arkon that had returned from the great battle tended their wounds and soothed them with beautiful songs. The Dragons took up residence here so as to take a vigilant guard over the world on its long road to recovery. Others stayed within the realms to aid the people and creatures and Dragons that still lived there, who had to rebuild what had been destroyed.

A few Dragons that housed parts of the spirits of Zion and Zora recovered the Sun and the Moon, and took them to the Temples in the realm of ZOL that had been prepared before the Children divided their life forces. Then the Dragons began carrying the orbs through the realms on the pathways they used to follow in the Great Cycle before they fell from the Heavens to restore night and day to the world. Thus was the Great Cycle forever altered, and its effect on the lands if Elcriss changed - but in its new way it worked, and the people were glad of it.

When they divided, the essences of the Children of AOZ not only entered the Dragons of Harmony, but small fragments of them spread out to reside in the elements that make up the world itself. In certain places, titanic environmental features rose up that housed fragments of the spirits of the gods, for example the World Tree rose up to the heavens, holding a fragment of the sleeping essence of Orza deep within it.

Each of these places became a dwelling place for a Dragon who guarded the place and the spirit of the Child within it. In this way, the Children still maintained a way to watch over the people and creatures they loved, and found ways to speak with them in dreams and visions to try and help guide them on their way. For the Plan was forever changed, but the people of the world still felt close to the Children, for the gods and goddesses were all around them in the world they created for those they love, who dwell within it.
